kalang gooney

In the effort to raise funds for our camp, the committee together with some of the helpers and facilitators came down to Clementi area to conduct newspaper collection. A few days ago, we had distributed flyers to the blocks and last Saturday all of us became ad-hoc karang gunis:

oh oh, we didn't have enough trolleys.. mati mati, tentu mati..

left with no choice, Hasanul & Zuraimi went to borrow trolleys from NTUC.. yes, yes, we can be prosecuted..

coffin???

pretty much stuff but we're not sure how much can that much bring for us

Hasanul's new friend but we didn't know her name..

Needless to say that it was tiring, but nevertheless, we had fun doing it together. Hasanul & Zuraimi surely would not forget their first time "borrowing" trolleys from NTUC, pushing all the way to the HDB flats.

"Ni kalau polis tanya, nak jawab apa?"

"Cakap ar, kita tgh buat science project."

We hope we could get quite a good sum from this. InsyaAllah amin..

Mock Camp Part 2

Day 2

The next day, all of us met up early in the morning at buona vista mrt. Our main objective was to hit the Southern Ridges Trail! We went to take bus service 200 and alighted at our first stop: Kent Ridge Park. When we reached there, unfortunately the abang-abang Logs a.k.a Hakim & Firdaus had not arrived with the game peripherals. Sooo.. we did what we love to do, and that is..

CAMWHORING!!
*(good tips for creative photo-taking which the campers will have to do)

the glass panels blend well with their clothes..

are they high-school-musically inspired???

After playing games like Black Hole and Morse Code, we continue our relaxing morning stroll to Horticultural Park, where we will be having a special event during the actual FOC camp.

*pictures still pending*

After having a prayer break and playing a couple of games, we embarked on an eye-opening journey through the Forest Walk...

looking poised under the umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh...

emulating Sheikh Yabonbon?? anw, Sheikh Yabonbon is one of the suspects for the Dictator, this will be further explained in a later post.

got carried away by high school musical I presume..

tsk tsk tsk... the road doesn't belong to you rite..

finally we reached our last stop: Mount Faber Peak

and we played Blow Wind Blow!! the facis were super semangat!!

aik??? personal salvation izit???

Feeling excited for the camp already??? The committee and the facilitators are!! So for those who still have not participated, do register quickly!! There's limited space left! Hurry!!

The Hedwigs

MasyaAllah..

Singapore is really an efficient country. Why do i say that?? We just sent publicity letters to the mailbox the day before and I get to know that people have started to receive it already. These are the hardworking "hands" responsible for sending out those letters:

heaps of it!! heaps don't lie..

checking the addresses..

there there Hakim, don't be too sad that the job is done.. next year we can copy more addresses k..

laaaaaaaa.... I should have photoshop-ed a droplet on his lips!

Before others joined Hakim in his lala land, we quickly went to post those letters:

maintain ar the face!!

see.. maintain like Na'im..

There you go, the Hedwigs in the committee..

Huh??

Hedwigs??

That is Hedwig.

Recce The Trail

Last week, some of the committee members went to check out the Southern Ridges. It is definitely one of the most scenic places in Singapore and, according to one of the members, a suitable spot for romantic couples (since we're representing the Muslim society, I stress that we are referring to married couples). Feast your eyes on the pictures below:

bird's eye view..

not to worry, it's altophobic-friendly..

see.. even those who are afraid of heights wanted to go higher!

for those who wish to relive their childhood moments..

potentially-incriminating photo; this is why we stress that we are referring to married couples
